Hon. Mary Delahunty, Politician & Journalist

Mary Delahunty is an Australian journalist and retired politician with the Australian Labor Party. She was a School Councillor in 1968 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Latrobe University.

An award-winning journalist and ABC TV presenter, Mary Delahunty served more than 7 years as a Victorian Government Minister in senior portfolios. Delahunty served as Minister for Education, Minster for Planning, Minister for the Arts, Minister for Women’s Affairs and Minister Responsible for the Commonwealth Games Cultural Program 2006.
