Genevieve Lacey, Musician
Genevieve is a recorder virtuoso with a distinguished career as an international soloist and collaborative artist. She attended Loreto College Ballarat 1985 – 1990.
Genevieve holds academic and performance degrees, including a doctorate, in music and English literature from the University of Melbourne and the Schola Cantorum Basiliensisi (Switzerland) and Carl Nielsen Academy of Music (Denmark).
Genevieve is heavily involved within the music industry, receiving a Fellow of the Faculty of Music, University of Melbourne and working as Director of the Astra and Australian Music Centre boards. She has also been awarded the inaugural Music council of Australia Freedman Fellowship, won two ARIAs, Australia Council, Freedman and Churchill Fellowships.
