Within the heritage fences, overlooking the tranquil Loreto gardens are a range of heritage and contemporary buildings that provide the learning spaces for over 900 students. Within these buildings are a vast range of classrooms to accommodate growing learning needs and vast array of academic programs.
Our founder, Mother Gonzaga Barry, was a visionary educator who’s every plan and action was underpinned by her strong faith in God. We are fortunate to now stand on the shoulders of all those who have gone before us, charged with the responsibility of providing a holistic 21st century education and ensuring that the Loreto education continues for those yet to come.
Our School has responded swiftly over the years to immediate needs and has proactively thought expansively and ambitiously when planning for future programs; now providing our students with state-of-the-art facilities and classrooms in the Mary’s Mount Centre, Mulhall Centre and Mary Ward Centre (including the Library and Theatrette).
Students at Loreto College are privileged to have some of the finest and most inspiring classroom views in the City, overlooking either the stunning Lake Wendouree or the manicured Loreto Gardens and grounds. They are also privileged to have a range of dedicated classrooms to cater for unique subjects such as religion, materials technology, studio art, science, media, theatre, food technology and music performance.
