The Mary's Mount Centre incorporates a 500 seat auditorium, music, drama and dance classrooms and studios, and a multi-media laboratory.

The Mary's Mount Centre is a modern, heritage conscious building. Sandstone colours on the external walls are offset by an outstanding glass feature wall looking towards our iconic Chapel. Internally is the beautiful, artistic and acoustically sensitive auditorium featuring a striking balcony designed for appreciation of the performing arts.

Ground Floor

Mary Mount GroundPlanThe ground floor is home to many diverse spaces for both Loreto College and community use.

Studios 1 and 2 are creative studios which look out upon Victoria Park allowing nature to inspire the artists within. These functional and well-resourced spaces can be used for creative classes, small performances and workshops. Tarkett flooring allows the space to be used by all types of performing artists. Interconnected by a moveable wall, the space can expand and contract as required.

The beautiful foyer is a gathering space for the community to appreciate displays, discuss the performances they have seen and be offered refreshments. Highlighted by its stunning glass frontage to the Chapel, this is also used as a creative teaching space.

The jewel in the crown is the auditorium, a beautiful, artistic and acoustically sensitive space featuring a striking balcony and fully equipped bio box for technical control of the stage. This is a remarkable space with a state of the art sound system designed for appreciation of the performing arts. The stage is a flexible, professionally equipped performance space featuring an orchestra pit, winch lighting system and generous wing space, with additional set storage areas on the northern side of the centre.

First Floor

Mary Mount FirstPlanOn the first floor of the Mary's Mount Centre is where the music practice rooms are located. These spaces have been acoustically tweaked to allow beautiful music to be heard by those who pass by without bleeding into other rooms.

A state of the art production laboratory has been integrated to teach arts and media technology and boasts a sound proof live recording studio, green screens for media and performance special effects and a composition keyboard lab. This room has viewing windows to both the theatre and ensemble room to enable live recording of performances. Equipment in this studio mirrors the bio box to enable the transfer of audio visual teaching to the theatre.
