Premier’s VCE Award for Year 10 Loreto Student
Loreto College Year 11 student, Grace Fry, is the proud recipient of a prestigious Premier’s VCE Award, recognising students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the Victorian Certificate of Education in 2015/2016.
Grace was presented with her Award for her 2016 Year 10 studies in Japanese Second Language, at a formal presentation ceremony to award top performing students who excelled in their VCE study scores, at the Palladium at Crown on Thursday 27, April. 2017.
Grace was one of only three students in the State to achieve a study score of 50 in Japanese Second Language. As a Year 10 student, she was also awarded a Loreto College Academic Award for the highest VCE study scores in Psychology and Japanese in 2016.
“Loreto College is very proud of Grace Fry’s extraordinary academic achievement, in particular, that Grace achieved these top VCE results whilst studying as a Year 10 student. Grace has demonstrated what is possible through hard work and commitment to study, at any age”, Ms Judith Potter, Principal said.
Grace is currently completing the Further Advanced Japanese (Level 7 Japanese) as part of the 2017 University of Melbourne Extension Program. This is the highest level of Japanese offered in this program. Grace attends the lectures and tutorials twice a week.
