@ballarattechschool has recently taken delivery of a state-of-the-art robot called Spot and Year 11 student, Bo, who has been on placement at the Ballarat Tech School throughout Term 3 has become quite adept at navigating and exploring with Spot.
Spot is an agile mobile robot from Boston Dynamics in America that navigates terrain with unprecedented mobility, allowing the controller to automate routine inspection tasks and data capture safely, accurately, and frequently. This robot is being used in all sorts of industries including the movie industry and mining.
There will only be a couple of these in the state and not many at all in Australia, so the fact that our students have access to this specialised robot is quite amazing. Great work Bo!
