Student Leadership at Loreto

Mary Ward, the founder of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary (IBVM) was a true leader and pioneer who fought for the religious freedoms of women. Today at Loreto, we seek to continue this tradition by developing leaders of the future. Through the development of leadership skills and student agency in all our students, we seek to develop courageous students who have the confidence to use their voices to make a positive impact while at Loreto and beyond.

To support our educational philosophy and school values, we provide a broad range of leadership opportunities for all our students. Official leadership portfolios as well as more informal leadership opportunities support our students in developing their strong leadership skills.

Through these avenues, Loreto students continue to follow in the footsteps of Mary Ward to thrive in a changing world.
