Anna Pipkorn, Fashion Designer

Following her graduation from Loreto College Ballarat in 2010, Anna was offered a position in the Bachelor of Fashion Design at RMIT University Melbourne.

Graduating with first class Honours,  Anna actively participated in many extracurricular events such as leading open days, mentoring younger studio groups, and being actively involved in social committees. Anna also curated personal public exhibitions and collaborated with many well known businesses and artists throughout her degree. Since graduating Anna has also returned to give lecture seminars at RMIT.

During her time at RMIT Anna lived on campus at University College, University of Melbourne. While at the college Anna was awarded the Ursula Hoff scholarship – a scholarship awarded to further pursue university studies, acknowledging excellence in art and design, and demonstrating fine leadership qualities. Anna also held the position of Merchandise Designer and Coordinator whilst at the college.

While studying Anna also completed a part time internship with Australian label ‘Life with Bird’ assisting with pattern development, amending toiles, sampling and prototype development. Anna was also fortunate enough to join the company in the New York Coterie booth working in sales and liaising with international buying teams (2014).

Anna has designed collections featured on the runway at Melbourne Spring Fashion Week in 2014, 2015.

In her final year of study at RMIT, Anna was recognised by international retailer Forever New and was offered a graduate scholarship position with the company. The scholarship offered full funding for her final year of university, a position to work in the company post university, the opportunity to design and produce a capsule collection in stores, and a trip to Paris to research and visit international trade show – Première Vision.
